Aquesta Ronda de Nit està dedicada al compositor i pianista Jordi Sabatés.

Jordi Sabatés i Hausson és un pianista i compositor català, nascut el 1948. Actiu des de finals de la dècada dels 60s, és autor d'una llarga i prolífica trajectòria. Llicenciat en Física, ha mantingut una activitat musical continuada, en la que destaquen la seva participació al grup Om els anys 1969-71, on destaca la gravació del LP Dioptria de Pau Riba. També són importants la seva contribució al grup Jarka que va liderar, i una llarga carrera en solitari. En la seva carrera es fonamental la seva gravació Vampyria amb Tete Montoliu el 1974 (considerada la millor gravació de jazz català per la revista Jaç). El 1983 va rebre el Premio Nacional del Disco pel seu CD dedicat a Scott Joplin i el ragtime. La seva particular visió del "Cant dels ocells" de Pau Casals va quedar enregistrada al disc "Ocells del més enllà" (1975), amb temes que formen part de la banda sonora emocional de tota una generació.
